The last few nights I have had the best intentions of posting on the P&B&B&B blog, but have fallen asleep on the couch before the girls are even in their beds. I am beat! So today I am posting earlier - 6PM - to ensure that I do it, period!
I haven't posted since Tuesday, which means that I didn't share the comments from M's parent-teacher conference. Here are the things she said: M is one of her top students; M talks to her teacher all the time and tells her funny things (I told her that M quotes her all the time, which she liked); M's involvement with editing the class newsletter has stretched her socially (a good thing); M is one of her top spellers and will be great in the spelling bee when she's in 3rd grade; M is a little quieter and not as forceful as some of the other girls; M is a happy kid in class (yay!). She is reading at a 5.3 grade level and doing math at a 4.5 grade level.
We are very proud of both girls' conferences and report cards.
We don't have a ton of plans this weekend - birthday party tomorrow afternoon, rehearsal on Sunday, book club Sunday afternoon (and lots more of the book to read - gulp! Guess we'll cram tomorrow and Sunday.) Daddy and I have lots to do in the den(s) and eventually I have to start cleaning out the basement. I have been picking up things here and there for Captain Fluffball, including from some other moms and people in the neighborhood. So far he has: a glider, a swing, a playmat, a rocking/sleeping thing, and an exersaucer (picking up this weekend) - all at bargain prices - yay! His new crib is on order so hopefully that will come in soon. And his new carseat is in the basement. Still searching for a great source for hipster kids' clothes. Perhaps I should just go to Brooklyn!
Speaking of the Captain, he is moving up a storm. Very active little boy!
And speaking of Brooklyn, Grampy and I are planning our trip for the Crossword Tournament in March. We will compete this year - gulp! I've been trying to fit in crossword puzzles here and there so I won't be too rusty come March.
Ok - time to go home and see my beautiful girls.
